I just read "Candy Girl - A Year in the Life of an Unlikely Stripper" by Diablo Cody (of Juno fame) and while I though it was cute, I would like to sell it since I doubt I'll reread it.

I bought it new for $14, so I'm selling it for $8.

It's not that it's a bad book, because it isn't, I think I was hoping for something more in depth regarding media and sex since she carries herself as pretty aware and critical of both. It's a short read, a funny read, but my bookshelves are all packed past capacity and I'm trying to pare the herd as it were.

so yeah, if you want it, let me know. It's in perfect condition being at it was held for all of the 3 hours it took me to read it.

Met with Yutaro today - he is so fantastic! Nice to talk to, sexy as hell, and beyond talented. My appointment for him to do my 5th tattoo (and fix up #4 a bit) is on Sunday, August 24th at 5:30pm. Expect pictures the day after!

After that, we will begin designing and planning my upper-arm sleeves. :O

We've launched a Disgaea specific blog over at the Hardcore Gamer website. I know a lot of people on my friends list are RPG players and like the Disgaea series, so I'm cluing you guys into it.

Hi Internet.

Remember me?

The girl who said she'd never go away?

Well, I went away.

But not in the traditional sense, of course. I'm still here. Still lurking the internet like a good little champ. Still causing all sorts of fun trouble.
I took a sabbatical, yes, it's true. But to be fair, it was only from Livejournal.
I've honestly been more active than I really have time to express. My poor little fingers would fall off.
I've been quite the busy little bee (note: That cutesy little tagline has no relevance to the previous post in this journal. Fuck bees.)
I enrolled in a college class (yes, one. It's called baby steps, you assholes)
I enrolled in a 5k walk to raise money and awareness for all cancers below the waist.
I am still working in the same place.
I am still living in the same place.
But there's one topic that's been lingering in my life.
One particular subject that seems to have overtaken my life (and is the main reason why you haven't seen my oh-so-enthralling babblings here lately).
I have delved headfirst into quite an undertaking. It's consumed the majority of my freetime, my freethought and my cold little black heart.

I mean, to be fair, I probably could, but I'm trying to save myself a whole lot of trouble.
Trust me, when I finally sit down and explain my shenanigans, you'll all understand why I've kept quiet about everything for the past few months.
Trust that it's a good cause, a worthy undertaking and totally worth the secrecy involved.
I feel like I'm part of something wonderful...and that's all I really need to say.

My life has become incredibly busy. I barely have time to paint my nails anymore.

...come to think of it, damn I really need to paint my nails.

My whole view on life, love, friendship and generally the world in which we live has changed dramatically in the past year. Trust me. Dramatically.
I feel like a whole new person.
Like a moth hidden away in a cocoon for ages and I've just cracked open my shell and I'm rubbing my eyes and yawning and peering out into the world a new and wonderful person.

Strange how that happens.

It's 3am here.
I shouldn't be babbling at all, but I felt my little radio-silence had gone on long enough.
Call this free-association, I suppose. Just typing and typing and not really thinking much about the content. Hrm.

I'll cut this off before I start writing terrible beat poetry or musing about the colors of leaves. Oh god, I need sleep.

so i finally saw Control last night, such a good movie. I also saw the documentary on the Donkey Kong war, and I am Legend. I am Legend felt like a crappy version of 28 days later, totally didn't do it for me, but the other two movies completely blew me away. Oh I also finally saw Batman Begins (awesome and making me that much more excited for the Dark Knight) and Batman & Robin with the Rifftrax (which was completely awesome because it is by far one of the best RiffTrax I've heard and worst movies I've seen)

in Keira news, we had a bit of a scare on friday which meant we had to renege on social plans so we could take her to Angell to get checked out. Pretty much, she wasn't eating. I think it was more she was lonely (we've been keeping her separated from the other two cats because she just had surgery), they did bloodwork (all ok) pushed some fluids, and gave us suggestions for food she really loved while she was there. That has helped a lot. we also sort of sped up the process of having her meet the other cats. She's not at all aggressive, but she isn't passive either. She mews when the other cats hiss at her, but she also approaches them (she barreled into wingnut because he was in her way, which was ballsy since he is more than 3x her size, she's even smaller than luna)

But yeah, she's been great. very affectionate, very curious, very not destructive...once her sutures heal, she will be coming out to play more. it's good.

Tried out the Jaeger upgrade to the Akira-class starship.  They were pretty cool, until I tried taking 4 of them up against a Borg Cube.

Got stomped like a narc at a biker rally.

Then, I did my own "re-arm," and gave that torpedo boat access to QUANTUM TORPEDOES.  

It still took 12 minutes, and some adept handling of repairs.  Because, let's face it, when you have a borg cube's complete and undivided attention, you take damage.

In other news... I have more than 75 LOLcats on Icanhascheezeburger... or whatever the hell it's called. =)

I basically spent yesterday recovering from Thursday, which was a 4am-12 midnight day.  I ran out of prednisone on that trip and I'm out until someone pays me for something... but hey, I brought that up earlier.  It's already starting to settle in... stiffness, pain...   what's to do except to say that I've dealt with it... I'll deal with it again.

And, I found a nice little Natalie Portman wallpaper.... red shooz... yummy

EDIT: knew I forgot something... the Arena league playoffs were AWESOME today.  My Sabercats advanced and the finish between New York and Philadelphia was CLASSIC.
